Model 40 (Mailplane)

The Model 40A was the first Boeing airplane to carry passengers, with room for two people in a tiny cabin, as well as cargo space for mail. Model 40 series (A, B, and C) flew under the banner of Boeing Air Transport, a new company subsidiary. Models 40X and Y were custom-built for oil companies.
